Not very long ago, I thought I cannot live without a television.
Surprisingly, it's almost 4 years now that I have managed without it and I am alive!
Our old TV doesn't have a remote and after we moved to Bangalore, somehow we haven't bothered to get cable. And we don't miss it at all.
There's the newspaper to catch up with news. Thank God we don't have to watch the 'Breaking news' on every news channel, otherwise!
Very rarely when Doordshan decides to show a good film during the weekends, we try to watch them.
I actually feel relieved sometimes that I don't have to watch the stupid serials, the same re-runs, reality and talent shows. We spend that time more usefully talking to each other or reading books. And I almost forgot, the computer monitor is always on during the evening so we don't save much on electric :)
