Last Weekend

Last week I went to the Mahalakshmi temple at Kolhapur.. The idol of Mahalakshmi is beautiful and so well adorned in silk and gold ornaments. It's really enchanting.

I bought a pair of silver anklets and a nose ring, called 'nathu' from here.

The following day we went to Mahabaleshwar and on the way visited the Balaji temple at Narayanpur. The scenes at Mahabaleshwar were beautiful.

Top 10 Cities In India

Last month there was a show on TV that listed the top 10 cities of India.. Not bad, I thought.. I have lived in 3 of them and visited 3 others.. The top cities were Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Kolkata, Chandigarh and Gurgaon.

Big Town Small Town

I like the small town folks.. They usually have big houses and big hearts too.. They are more hospitable to guests. They are more relaxed and have more time for everything. As opposed to city dwellers who live in their small flats and have little time for others.. I think living in large cities make us insecure, suspicious and self centered... It could be due to the higher cost of living, stress from commuting and small cramped living places that make us this way.. Sometimes I think I would love to live in a medium sized city like Mysore or Hubli. Ha ha... I haven't seen either of those places..

Why does the 'market' crash everytime I am looking for a job????
